Applications are now open for the newly developed microcredential in Applied Disease Outbreak Management at Western Sydney University. This microcredential has been designed in partnership with industry practitioners with extensive experience in public health to provide learners with access to current knowledge, real-life case studies, and practical tasks and assessments to assist transference of skills into the workplace.
The learning experience has been designed with working professionals in mind so that they can study flexibly, whilst still having the opportunity to establish a broader network of peers and be supported by both academic and support staff.
This microcredential will run from 4th March – 30th June 2024 and is currently fee free due to in-demand skills and industry needs, funded by the Department of Education under the Microcredentials Pilot in Higher Education.
Upon successful completion of the microcredential, learners will exit with a digital badge and certificate, a curated portfolio of evidence, as well as the potential for credit for further postgraduate study with Western Sydney University.
